Crazy Little Thing Called Love

Samhain Publishing, $2.50, ISBN 978-1-60504-625-9

Our Fae heroine Pixie Parthon - really, that's her name - is currently a hotshot music company executive whose production house Pixie Dust Productions is riding high on the success of her brother, Stephen. As an independent woman who is used to taking care of herself and her brother all this while, Pixie finds herself wishing that she can let her hair down once in a while. Maybe even find some love the way her brother had. But alas, the men she encountered in the past were too pushy, trying to hold her back and subjugate her independence, so she's still looking for that right guy today.

And then we have Malcon, the werewolf Alpha. A night of sizzling he-man woof-woof-woof sex with him has Pixie not only passing out from the awesome orgasm that destroyed Tokyo and at least two more cities, she also wakes up with a mate when Malcon happily announces to the press that he's mated with her. Pixie is understandably annoyed, but you know how it is once you have done the doggy with an Alpha. There's no way out. An Alpha needs to have sex with his mate on a regular basis so if Pixie decides to cut off Malcon for good, he'll die and she'll have his death on her conscience. But since this is love, Pixie shouldn't be railing against her fate that much, no?

The moral of the story is: single ladies, beware of werewolf ding-dongs. Put a ring on that.
